AMA Task Force Releases Naloxone Statement

A document released by the American Medical Association Task Force to Reduce Opioid Abuse in October, “Help save lives: Increase access to naloxone,” strongly encourages widespread access to naloxone as well as broad Good Samaritan protections to those who aid someone experiencing an overdose.

In addition, the document provides information for physicians, an overview of state naloxone access laws and Good Samaritan protections, and links to helpful resources. Click here to read the document.
