Study: Telling Docs They Overprescribe Addicting Drugs Does Not Make Them Stop

pillsThe study originally published in Health Affairs online March 7, 2016, looks at the effect of sending of letters to potential overprescribers explaining that their practice patterns were highly unlike those of their peers. According to the study, the researchers were unable to detect an effect of these letters on prescribing.
