Opinion: Are We Ignoring an Escalating Benzodiazepine Epidemic?

In this article, Dr. Indra Cidambi addresses the important role benzodiazepines play in the opioid overdose epidemic and the myriad issues that are involved in the treatment of individuals with concurrent benzodiazepine and opioid use disorders. Systemic change will be needed in order for the U.S. to make progress in preventing future overdose deaths.
